Funday brought a burst of colour and energy to the retail space with a vibrant pink pop-up designed to be impossible to miss. The activation transformed the environment into a playful candy-inspired experience, drawing shoppers in through bold visual impact and a sense of curiosity.
With shelves stacked high with colourful lolly packs, jars of sweet and sour treats, and a whimsical retail approach, the space encouraged interaction, discovery, and sharing. The goal was to create a memorable brand moment that stood out in a busy retail setting while inviting customers to engage with the product in a fun and unexpected way.
WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED
Funday needed a retail activation that would break through visual clutter and immediately capture shopper attention. The objective was to drive engagement and product discovery in a highly competitive in-store environment.
The space had to reflect the brand’s playful personality while clearly showcasing the range of products in an organised and accessible way. It also needed to encourage trial, increase dwell time, and create a strong emotional connection with customers. Importantly, the activation had to feel bold and fun while still supporting clear product visibility and purchase consideration at point of sale.
A Playground of Flavour
We saw this as an opportunity to fully lean into Funday’s bold and playful brand identity and translate it into a physical experience that felt immersive and joyful. Rather than treating the space as a traditional retail display, we approached it as a mini world of candy discovery.
We focused on creating strong visual impact through colour, repetition, and abundance, ensuring the product became the hero of the environment. The idea was to make shoppers feel like they were stepping into a fun, oversized candy shop moment that encouraged exploration at every touchpoint.
We also considered how the layout could guide movement naturally, making it easy for customers to engage with different product types. Every element was designed to balance visual excitement with clarity, ensuring the space felt both playful and commercially effective in driving engagement and conversion.
HOW WE ACTIVATED
We incorporated the brand’s identity into every element of the space to create an activation that was visually cohesive and engaging. Different shapes on the counter were highlighted through custom decals, while the Archie walls were coloured to perfectly match the brand’s Pantone palette. These touches ensured the brand was instantly recognisable and consistent across all display areas.
The floor featured a subtle curved design that added movement and visual interest, complementing the shapes used throughout the space. Layering textures and materials further enhanced the overall aesthetic, creating depth and dimension without overwhelming the environment.
By carefully balancing playful elements with refined design choices, we created a space that felt approachable yet polished. Each detail, from colour and shape to layout and texture, worked together to bring The Natal Naturopath brand to life. The result was a memorable, immersive experience that encouraged engagement and left a lasting impression on visitors.
