At Bondi Beach, OKX came to life with a vibrant beachfront activation that was both visually striking and highly engaging. Working closely with Waverley Council, all approvals and compliance requirements were handled seamlessly to ensure a smooth experience.
The activation featured a signature outdoor hub in OKX black, serving as a bold and inviting focal point on the sand. Bespoke beach huts provided practical storage while enhancing the summer inspired aesthetic and creating a photogenic, social media ready environment.
Visitors could explore at their own pace, guided by ambassadors who shared OKX’s story and showcased product experiences. Sunset DJ sessions with Ritchie and a roaming gelato cart added playful, interactive elements, encouraging guests to linger and capture shareable moments.
The result was a memorable, fully branded activation that reflected OKX’s dynamic and approachable personality while connecting with audiences in a relaxed, beachfront setting.
WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED
OKX wanted a full-service, end-to-end beachfront activation at Bondi Beach that would engage visitors, communicate their brand story, and create a visually striking summer experience. They needed a solution that combined both aesthetic appeal and functionality, with custom-built structures capable of handling public interaction and storage requirements. Compliance and approvals were critical, requiring close coordination with Waverley Council to ensure all regulations were met. The activation also needed to provide a relaxed, approachable environment where guests could explore at their own pace, enjoy engaging brand experiences, and leave with a lasting positive impression of OKX.
Making Waves with OKX
We recognised that the activation needed to balance visual impact with consumer engagement in an outdoor beachfront setting. Our concept centred around a fully customised outdoor activation box in OKX’s brand colours, designed to serve as a bold and inviting hub on the sand. Bespoke beach huts were integrated for both functional storage and to enhance the overall summer-inspired aesthetic, ensuring the space was both practical and photogenic.
We also considered how visitors would interact with the space, designing zones for exploration, brand storytelling, and casual engagement. Friendly ambassadors guided guests, providing information and creating a welcoming atmosphere without being intrusive. Additional experiential elements, such as sunset DJ sessions and a roaming gelato cart, were planned to enhance sensory engagement and encourage social sharing. Every detail, from layout to props, was designed to create a cohesive and memorable beachfront experience that reflected OKX’s personality.
