What the client needed
Sodii required a smaller exhibition stand for the 3×3 space at the Reformulate Expo in Sydney, while still maintaining the bold visual identity of the original 6×3 stand. The stand needed to feel premium, cohesive, and recognisably part of the same design family. Functionality was also key, as the space needed to support product display, brand storytelling, and visitor interaction. It had to be practical for installation and transport while delivering the same impact as the larger stand. The goal was to create a compact but powerful presence that would perform in a busy exhibition environment.
Compact Impact
We approached the 3×3 stand as a refined extension of the original 6×3 concept rather than a completely new design. Our goal was to distil the most impactful elements of the larger stand and adapt them thoughtfully to fit the smaller footprint, ensuring that it still felt cohesive and unmistakably Sodii. Key design features such as the concrete-like textured finishes, bold colour blocking, and illuminated product displays were retained to create a visually striking and premium presence within the compact space.
Spatial efficiency was central to our approach, with every element serving both a visual and functional purpose. By simplifying the layout and carefully considering visitor movement, we designed a stand that felt open, welcoming, and engaging despite its reduced scale. Emphasising vertical design elements helped maximise visibility across the exhibition floor, ensuring that the stand captured attention and maintained a strong brand impact, just like its larger counterpart.
How we activated
The design language of the larger 6×3 installation was carefully translated into a compact and efficient 3×3 format. Signature concrete textured finishes were applied using specialised paint techniques, adding visual depth and a premium, tactile feel that elevated the overall presentation. Bold colour blocking was incorporated to reinforce Sodii’s strong brand identity, ensuring the stand remained visually striking despite the smaller footprint. Illuminated product displays were positioned strategically to keep the product front and centre, drawing attention and highlighting its innovative design.
The modular counter provided a practical area for visitor interaction while also supporting Sodii’s long term use for future events and roadshows. An integrated inline tap system allowed visitors to engage directly with the product, creating a memorable and interactive experience. Even at this reduced scale, the activation successfully balanced aesthetics and functionality, delivering a confident brand presence and encouraging meaningful engagement with visitors throughout the event.
