The client needed
Afterpay is a giant in the finance banking sector allowing customers to repay purchases within 4 easy interest free payments.
The client approached Ten Hats to custom build an expo stand to have a presence for their first expo in Sydney. The brief was to be instagramable & really place their position on the grid in the Expo World as being a strong player.
We needed to create the stand to be a ‘talking point’, the main sponsored superstar!
What we thought?
Afterpay recently went through a rebrand, even going as far to team up with colour giants Pantone to create their own custom colour, Bondi Mint. The name was born to play homage to the creators of Afterpay who originated from the beaches of Bondi.
This is how we activated
We thought It was important to showcase this rebrand. The Afterpay logo is made up of a few elements- firstly the pill shape surrounding the outside of the logo. We created the pill counter using this shape for the team to speak from and provide on-stand storage.
The infinity loop is also a pinnacle element of the Afterpay logo. To showcase this element we engaged a cardboard architect to create the sustainable infinity loop seating which is made completely of cardboard and is sturdy enough to allow guests to have a seat and engage in conversation. The infinity loop was reflected by a mirror on the ceiling to capture those instagrammable moments.
The final element of the Afterpay logo is its colour, dipping the stand in full monochrome Bondi Mint.
