BEAUTY ON THE RUNWAY

Founded by Alex Fevola, Runway Room Cosmetics is a professional beauty brand built on inclusivity, expertise, and fun.

The pop-up needed to be compact but impactful, offering makeover services and showcasing the cosmetic range while reflecting a salon-quality experience within a busy retail environment.

Our Myriad fixture served as the central structure, creating an open 360-degree space that encouraged foot traffic and customer interaction. Products were displayed on risers to add height and visual interest, complemented by soft lighting and a clean aesthetic.

High chairs were arranged around the fixture to provide comfortable spaces for consultations and makeup trials. The layout balanced display, service, and discreet storage, making it practical and inviting. Each detail was designed to feel premium yet approachable, giving visitors a seamless, immersive introduction to the Runway Room brand.

WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED

Runway Room wanted a compact, temporary pop-up that could showcase their cosmetics while providing a welcoming environment for customers to enjoy makeovers and trial products. The space needed to feel both premium and approachable, giving visitors a sense of stepping into a mini salon experience. Soft lighting, curated displays, and comfortable seating were essential to create an inviting atmosphere where guests could relax, experiment with products, and connect with the brand.

The activation had to balance functionality with style, reflecting Runway Room’s ethos of professionalism, inclusivity, and fun, while standing out in a busy retail environment and making every visitor feel personally engaged.

Making Space for Beauty

Our focus was on creating a pop-up that worked as both a functional space and a visual magnet. We wanted to guide traffic naturally while making sure customers could enjoy makeovers and product trials in comfort. The challenge was to design a layout that felt open and inviting without sacrificing essential benchtop space or storage needed to support sales and daily operations.

Myriad provided the perfect solution for this collaboration, offering a flexible structure that could accommodate product displays, workstations, and customer interaction areas all in one cohesive setup. By carefully positioning the counters and incorporating accessible storage, we ensured the space remained uncluttered and easy to navigate.

Every design choice was guided by the goal of creating an environment that reflected Runway Room’s professional yet approachable identity. The space needed to feel premium but welcoming, drawing in passers-by and offering a seamless, elevated beauty experience for every visitor.

HOW WE ACTIVATED

We made the most of the 360-degree open space by placing the Myriad unit at the centre of the Runway Room pop-up, creating an accessible and engaging environment from all angles. The structure acted as both a display and a functional workspace, giving visitors the opportunity to explore products up close.

Products were arranged on risers atop the Myriad, adding height and layers that enhanced visual interest while making it easy for customers to see the full range. The elevated displays created a sense of premium presentation without compromising accessibility.

To encourage interaction, high chairs were placed around the unit, offering a comfortable spot for makeovers, product trials, and personalised consultations. Every element was positioned to ensure visitors could move freely while enjoying a seamless, immersive experience. The result was a pop-up that was both practical and visually appealing, reflecting Runway Room’s professional, inclusive, and approachable brand identity.
